Class Descriptions

Mat Pilates: The Pilates mat class emphasizes development of mind/body uniformity; providing balance through proper muscle recruitment and spinal alignment, flexibility by learning to move from the core resulting in muscle lengthening, and strength through use of controlled, precise movement.

Pilates Props: This class will challenge core strength, promote mind/body connection which will enhance a balanced lifestyle, balance, full body strength, and flexibility. Start the day out with this great workout!

MVe Chair: The original Pilates chair, emphasizes and encompasses the four major elements of a "movement system": Improved ability to guide deep muscles and manage movement, enhanced motor control, focused, quality movement rather than quantity of movement, controlled movements within a functional range.

Reformer: Take your mat work to the next level. This class will challenge your core strength, increase your flexibility, and enable you to work on muscle specificity as you strive for a balanced muscular system.

Will Power & Grace: The program begins with a dance/yoga warm-up of stretches and strength-building postures. Then it moves to a cardio boot camp–style workout based on squats and lunges, with balance poses that incorporate arm movements for added intensity. And it ends with slow stretches as a cool-down. You’re kept moving on bare feet throughout the entire 60 minutes.
